We're now closed on Sundays for the summer. Our regular Sunday hours are scheduled to resume after Labor Day.
In observance of Memorial Day, we'll be closed on Monday, May 30.
Even on days the library isn't open, you can still search for and reserve books, CDs, and other items through our
catalog. You can also use the
encyclopedias, news and magazine archives, and other resources we have available online for our cardholders.

Through our membership in ListenIllinois, we have more than 1500 books you can check out and listen to on one of our MP3 players. We provide the player, batteries, and a car adapter, but you'll need your own headphones.
Click here for instructions on how to request digital audiobooks and a player.
Fiction and nonfiction titles are available. Current bestsellers in ListenIllinois include:
The Da Vinci Code,
The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and
The Purpose-Driven Life. You may
sign up for monthly email lists of new ListenIllinois additions, too.

You now have the option to get an email message - instead of a phone call - when a book, CD, or other item you've requested is available to be picked up. To sign up for email notification that your "holds" are ready, go to
My Account in our catalog and click "RegisterMy Email Address." You'll need to enter your library card barcode number (without spaces), PIN (if you haven't changed your PIN, it's the last 4 digits of your barcode), and email address.
You can also use the independently operated
Library Elf service to get reminders about upcoming due dates and other information about your account.
