One Harry Potter Read-a-like I have read is called The Cirque Du Freak series. They are a total of 12 books, I think. Darren Shan is an amazing author. The main charecter really is Darren he overcomes many obstacles inthe first book and is blooded to be a half-vampire. He is also a vampire assitant to Mr. Crepsley. These books are sort of like Harry Potter. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter,and I'm glad these books are out so i can read them too. The books are up to the 11th book. There is a new one coming out soon. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Harry Potter.
Sorcerers of the Nightwings by Geoffrey Huntington. This book is about a boy who has secret powers. He did not know who he really was until his father died. It turns out he was adopted. He is sent to live at Ravenscliff. At Ravenscliff, he finds out more about himself and his real family.
