The Face on the Milk Carton By Caroline B. Cooney
This book has an exciting, interesting plot. Janie Johnson is a normal girl whose life changes when she sees the picture of a missing child on a milk carton. She realises that she is that child; that is her picture. Suddenly Janie is doubting that her parents are really her parents and not kidnappers. As fragments of childhood memories emerge, she demands the truth from her "parents." Things become even more complicated when the tale her "parents" believe isn't the truth, either. This book is excellent, as are the other books in the series: Whatever Happened to Janie?, The Voice on the Radio, and What Janie Found.
