Wicked!

A very WICKED essay contest!

Teens! The library is participating in an exciting (and easy) essay contest! The contest has a WICKED theme! If you haven’t guessed yet, the essay contest revolves around the WICKED Musical.

Essay question – Glinda, the "popular" witch in Wicked, sings that it is more important to be "popular" than to have "brains or knowledge." What do you think?

And the essay only has to be 500 words or LESS!

You can print the form and rules here. Or pick up a copy at the library. Don’t forget to stop in and admire the great poster Pam made for us!

YAC.

I've had a few questions about the YAC group. Basically, YAC stands for Youth Activity Committee. The YAC group meets once a month (usually the fourth Wednesday of each month.) We do a variety of things! Crafts, games, DDR, and more! For more information, contact Alex, Kitty, or Debbie! Take a look at our YAC pictures.

Teen book discussion.

Teen book discussion starts Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7:00 pm. We'll discuss books that we've read this summer and pick up The Red Kayak by Priscilla Cummings.

The teen book discussion group will meet on the first Tuesday of every month.

Don't forget about the online book discussion group! This month's book, Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin, is available at the library. Participate in the discussion at http://librarybookdiscussion.blogspot.com/. So far, everyone loves the book...we're just waiting for you to start posting!
