ABC 7's press release. No purchase necessary to participate; see official rules on the entry form for complete details.

Are your children safe using MySpace and other websites? Would you like to know more about sites your children may be visiting, people your children may be chatting with online, or Internet terms such as "friending" or "poking"?
Assistant Attorney General Abigail Abraham, from the Illinois High Tech Crimes Bureau, will visit the Library to discuss Internet safety for parents on Tuesday, September 12, at 7:00 p.m. Registration is suggested for this free event.

In conjunction with Library Card Sign-Up Month, we've set up a new online form people may use to apply for library cards. (Cards still need to be picked up in person at the Library, even if the online form is used.) We'll also be taking library card applications at Homer Community Expo at Hadley School on September 16; we'll have a table inside, and our Bookmobile will be out in the school parking lot during Expo.
Celebrated throughout the month of September, National Library Card Sign-up Month encourages everyone to check out what's new at the library. Libraries today offer more than just books, and are also dynamic community centers.
The Smartest Card is @ your library®! Get it, use it at Homer Township Library.
