Volunteer Hours for Teens

Applications for the Teen Intern Program will be available on our website beginning Monday, June 3rd. The TIP runs alongside the Summer Reading Program, which will be from July 8 -- August 3.

Due to the library's expansion project, our on-site volunteer opportunities are currently limited, although you are welcome to sign up to be on our volunteer list. Please note that teens are called from this list as needed, and so hours are not guaranteed.

In the meantime, if you are a teen who is looking to volunteer, we do offer ways to get service hours through the completion of an independent project. For more information, check out the Homer Library Volunteer Corps website.

Teen Book Club

Join us for our next Teen Book Club meeting on Tuesday, July 2nd at 7pm! We'll be doing something a bit different at this month's meeting -- instead of discussing one book that we've all read, we'll be talking about any books that we've read over the summer. Don't forget that we won't be having a June meeting, as the library will be closed during this time. But we'll see you in July!

The TBC meets on the first Tuesday of each month (except for the meeting this month!), & books are available at the library in the teen space for check out. New members are welcome! For teens in 6th grade and up!

Teen Advisory Board Meeting

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a library group for high school students. Members have the opportunity to influence the library's teen services, including the YA book collection, teen programming, and more! For teens in grades 9-12. The next TAB meeting is on Thursday, July 11th at 7pm -- new members are welcome!
