This program may be enjoyed by all children up to 35 months but is especially designed for children with special needs challenges. It combines books, songs, movement, and  activities to encourage reading readiness. If your child has difficulty sitting through one of the library’s other story times, this inclusive program may be just what you are looking for! Children must attend with a parent or caregiver.                  
Required registration begins on September 12 @ 8:30 a.m.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT WITH MARY @ HOMER LIBRARY

Wednesdays @ 11:30 A.M. or 12:30 P.M. 
 
 
 
Registration for the new 7 week session begins September 12, 2016.
This class, for ages 0-5 years, offers creative music and movement activities to develop and stimulate an early love of music. The classes are limited to 10 children with a parent or caregiver who must attend.
Registration and fee of $21 per family for the full 7 week session required.  
Payment is due one week in advance of the class or child's registration will be removed. 
Deadline for cancellation, with refund, is one week prior to the event. 

STORYTIME
For children ages 3, 4 and 5. Introduces children to books and reading with stories and crafts that help develop early literacy and listening skills.
Classes are offered:

Mondays @ 9:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
Tuesdays @ 9:30 a.m.
 & 1:00 p.m.
Registration is required. Limit 15. Children must be 3 years old at the time of registration.
 
Polish-English Storytime is offered on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.  Registration is required. Limit 15. Children must be 3 years old at the time of registration.

WIGGLES AND GIGGLES
 
This early literacy program is designed to enhance the parent-child relationship through shared enjoyment of play! Each half hour themed session will be a time of simple stories, fingerplays, bouncing rhymes, music and movement to encourage reading readiness.
Wiggles and Giggles programs are offered:
September 26 - November 17
Mondays @ 10:45 a.m.
Wednesdays @ 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays @ 9:30 & 10:30 a.m.

Come out for a fun, family night at Sendra Park, 14727 S. Greenbrier Lane, Homer Glen. Start out at 7:00 p.m. taking the StoryWalk Challenge. Complete the Challenge and get a special treat to enjoy during the show. The film, Zootopia, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

Registration for Story Time, polish Story Time, Wiggles & Giggles, Special Needs Story Time and Music & Movement with Mary begins at 8:30 a.m on September 12, 2016. 
 
Wiggles & Giggles: welcomes children up to 35 months with adult. Encourages reading readiness with simple stories, finger plays, rhymes and movement activities.
 
Music & Movement with Mary: for ages up to 5 with adult. Fee: $21 per family for 7 weeks due by 9/21/2016. 
 
Story Time welcomes children ages 3, 4 & 5 to share terrific tales and accompanying craft. Designed to develop essential early literacy skills and get children ready to read.

STORYWALK CHALLENGE

Visit the StoryWalk trail at Sendra Park (14727 S. Green Brier Lane). The new book is Dog Vs. Cat by Chris Gall. 
Take the StoryWalk Challenge!

Register for the Summer Reading program beginning June 13 through July 23 at the library. Questions pertaining to the StoryWalk will be on the reading log, visit the StoryWalk and answer the three questions! Return your completed StoryWalk Challenge questions to the library and earn an additional entry in the Summer Reading prize drawings!
