This program may be enjoyed by all children up to 35 months but is especially designed for children with special needs challenges. It combines books, songs, movement, and  activities. If your child has difficulty sitting through one of the library’s other story times, this inclusive program may be just what you are looking for! Children must attend with a parent or caregiver.

This class, for ages 0-5 years, offers creative music and movement activities to develop and stimulate an early love of music. The classes are limited to 10 children with a parent or caregiver who must attend.
Registration and fee of $18 per family for the full six week session required.  
Payment is due one week in advance of the class. 
Deadline for cancellation with refund is one week prior to the event. 

STORYTIME
For children ages 3, 4 and 5. Introduces children to books and reading with stories and crafts that help develop early literacy and listening skills.
Classes are offered:
January 25 through March 1, 2016
Monday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. 
Tuesday at 9:30 and 1:00 p.m. 
Registration is required. Children must be 3 years old at the time of registration.
 
Polish-English Storytime is offered on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. from January 28 - March 3, 2016. Registration is required. Children must be 3 years old at the time of registration.

WIGGLES AND GIGGLES
 
This early literacy program is designed to enhance the parent-child relationship through shared enjoyment of play! Each half hour themed session will be a time of simple stories, fingerplays, bouncing rhymes, music and movement to stimulate your child's growth.
Wiggles and Giggles programs are offered:
January 25 - March 3, 2016
Mondays at 10:45 a.m.
Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Take the StoryWalk Challenge!

Register for the Winter Reading program beginning February 1 through February 29 at the library. Three questions pertaining to the StoryWalk will be on the registration sheet, visit the StoryWalk and answer the three questions! Return your completed StoryWalk Challenge questions to the library and earn an additional entry in the Winter Reading prize drawings!

Are you interested in learning your ABC's in sign language? How about basic greetings or signing with your baby?  Do you know how to say hello to a person who is deaf and introduce yourself? Homer Library is offering an hour long introductory sign language class for syggested ages 8-11 and and children under 7 with an adult. Sign language handouts and small group tutoring by Lockport Township High School sign language students/staff will be provided. Please come to enjoy our one hour evening program and learn what it is like to communicate with your hands and listen with your eyes.
