Newspapers and Microfilm at the Library

Most of the Library's magazines are included in the online catalog. (The Library also receives several journals for book selection and other library issues: American Libraries, Booklist, Illinois Libraries, Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, and Publishers Weekly.) Electronic archives of magazine, journal, and news articles are available in through our Article Finder.

Chicago Tribune (kept for 2 weeks; on microfilm going back to 1990, with indexes)
Crain's Chicago Business (kept for 6 months)
Daily Southtown (kept for 2 weeks)
Herald News [Joliet] (kept for 2 weeks)
Homer Horizon [formerly Homerian] (kept permanently)
Star [Homer, Lemont, Lockport] (kept for 3 months)
Sun [Homer, Lemont, Lockport] (kept for 3 months)
Wall Street Journal (kept for 1 month)

Copies of Chicago Parent are available at the Library for patrons to take for free.

The Library also subscribes to The Value Line (standard and small/mid-cap editions) and Morningstar Mutual Funds services in print.
