Talented and experienced Fine Artist Sarah Rehmer will do a live art demonstration of the versatile medium of encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting. This involves heating a wax medium and adding colored pigments. She will discuss materials, substrates (what the wax is applied on), studio set-up, working methods and share sample works. Check out this versatile medium used by artists today that dates back to ancient Egyptian times!
Open to all; you don’t have to be a Lemont Artists Guild member.
