Teen Volunteering

Are you a teen in grades 6-12 who is looking to volunteer at the library? Teens can earn service hours through in-person monthly events, at-home volunteer projects, or our summer Teen Volunteer Crew (details and applications available each May).

Questions? Email Teen Services at teens@homerlibrary.org.

The library currently only offers volunteer opportunities for teens.

At-Home Teen Volunteer Projects

We host one in-person teen volunteer event per month at the library, but we also offer at-home volunteer projects! The deadline for these projects is June 1, 2023.

NOTE: Service hours for at-home projects are open to teens living in Homer Glen or Lockport or students attending a school located within Homer Glen or Lockport. Service hours for at-home projects cannot be used for court ordered community service.

Feel free to add drawings, washi tape, photographs or use colorful stickers which will catch the eye of each senior recipient. Please do not include any religious comments. Drop off letters at the library; do not submit them to Letters Against Isolation on your own. We will mail them for you!
