ARMCHAIR TRAVELERS: Spain

 This is one of Europe's unsung heroes, with masterpieces of art, museums, and architecture, combining into a remarkable culture. Southern Spain, called the Al-An-Dalus where for 700 years, Muslims, Christians and Jews created a marvelous civilization while the rest of Europe struggled through the Dark Ages. The city of Granada created the resplendent Islamic inspired "Alhambra" a collection of architectural gems (9th-14th C.) that ranks as the world's finest. Presented by Bill Helmuth.
