Art Journaling with Lemont Artists Guild
Age Group:Adults & Seniors
Lemont Artists Guild is pleased to present April Schabes who will demonstrate how Art Journaling is a fun and creative way to capture the wonderful and cherished moments in life. Just by jotting words, sketches, doodles or collaged media on the pages of one’s journal, a story can emerge and capture the precious moments in life that pass us by.
Forever interested in all art forms, as a young adult, April studied at Moraine Valley Community College. She continued her studies by joining art classes and creative activities at The Center in Palos Park, IL. She also took a collage class at LaGrange Art League and Gallery in LaGrange, IL, in which she says about that class, “it won me over and became dearest to my heart.” April always loved working with paper, even as child, she remembers how much she enjoyed the art and play of paper dolls. She takes that interest playing with paper all over again as an artist and instructor! She presently teaches Collage and Art Journaling at The Center. She has always enjoyed journaling and making notes of her days and teaching this art to others is something she loves and finds fun and joyful!
Feel free to bring along your own sketchbook or journal to take notes and follow along during the program!
Meetings are open to all; you do not have to be a Lemont Artists Guild member to attend.
